How do the oral drops work?

With allergy shots, allergy serum is injected into the skin and absorbed into the bloodstream. With oral drops, the serum is placed under the tongue where it absorbs into the bloodstream through special cells in the mouth. The serum contains extracts of allergens that commonly cause allergic reactions (ragweed, grass, pet dander, etc.) Over time, your body can learn to tolerate these allergens and stop reacting to them in ways that lead to hay fever, eczema, asthma, or other symptoms.
