What Are The 3 Types Of Asthma?

Exercise Induced Asthma Doctor in Phoenix Mesa Arizona - Family Allergy Clinic and Wellness Center

Exercise-Induced Asthma

Asthma that is caused or worsened by exercise or exertion of energy is one of the 3 main types of asthma. Asthma induced by exercise has a tendency to get worse in cold temperatures and dry weather.

Occupational Asthma

The second type of asthma is tied to the workplace environment and the chemicals or irritants that are found there. It could also be tied to vapors or chemicals from uniforms/clothing, or tools used in the workplace. Irritation is not caused by natural allergens.

Allergy-Induced Asthma

The third and most common type of asthma is allergy-induced, and is a very most common form of asthma, and is the form of asthma most are familiar with. It is a very treatable form of asthma, because asthma doctors can treat the allergies themselves to relieve the symptoms of asthma.

Treating Asthma:

Allergy-Induced Asthma is not treated-best with medications and inhalers. Rather, medications are costly with pills and inhalers that can range from $300 to $1,200 a month. But in spite of their high price, these medications don’t solve the asthma problem. They merely treat the symptoms and are often only partially effective at that. Furthermore, asthma medications can have harmful side effects such as tremors, dizziness, nervousness and steroid-related effects.

Fortunately, allergy-induced asthma sufferers can find relieve in the form of allergy shots and drops (to treat the root cause of asthma symptoms. Since the majority of asthma has its root in allergy, proper allergy treatment can often control or eliminate the lung disease. Allergy treatment can be achieved through immunotherapy wherein the body is exposed to gradually increasing amounts of the most common allergens (i.e. pollens, pet dander, etc.) until it learns to tolerate them comfortably. Extracts of the allergens are mixed into a saline solution and administered through allergy shots or, more conveniently, through under-the-tongue allergy drops.

After two years of a spreading, itching, nerve racking rash and no relief, I took a friend to an appointment with [Family Allergy Clinic]. While there he looked at my rash and was able to immediately help me. I am gradually getting better and cannot express how appreciative I am that there are still doctors who care about others and not the bottom line. Thank you [Family Allergy Clinic].

[Family Allergy Clinic] has helped my 8 year old, my 4 year old, myself and yesterday I took my 6 year old for a serum treatment. I love the idea of zero shots since almost all our family struggles with allergies. Serum really works! you just have to be consistent with the drops to see the results! Thank you [Family Allergy Clinic]!!

I originally went in for my husband and after seeing how patient and understanding they were with him I booked an apt for myself. The office staff was very friendly, they were quick and the idea of not having weekly allergy shots was amazing. The serum seems to be working but you MUST take it everyday to truly see the effects. I'd recommend this office in a heartbeat.

[Family Allergy Clinic] changed my life when other doctors said there was nothing they could do. I had been getting pollen allergy shots for a year from another doctor with no improvement and multiple anaphylactic reactions. I also had all sorts of food allergies, and the other doctor said there was nothing you could do to fix them. [Family Allergy Clinic]s allergy drops GREATLY improved my inhalant allergies AND my food allergies! I never had an anaphylactic reaction to [Family Allergy Clinic] drops like I did with the shots. This therapy literally gave me a second chance to live life without constantly being sick. Just make sure you consistently use the drops and you will find relief too.

[Family Allergy Clinic] is great! I was suffering every Spring & sometimes Fall from sinus infections due to allergies. I would try all the over the counter anti-histamines and finally end up with antibiotics to clear it out. I started the drops a year ago and have had no major sinus problems!!! It's great. My husband and 3 sons are on drops as well, since I started it. (Even my 2 year old will take the drops, no problem. No nasty shots or continually going to the doctor's office.) It has helped them all a lot. We highly recommend [Family Allergy Clinic].
